Server
One of the biggest improvements brought by Ubuntu Server 20.04 LTS is enhanced security and stability. This comes through the constant security patching process and new features like the Ubuntu Server Live installer, iptables to nftables migration, and more resilient boot loader. Additional features like CIS hardening and Kernel Livepatch service will be available in Ubuntu Pro cloud images for AWS.
Moreover, being an LTS release, Ubuntu Server 20.04 will be supported until 2025 with ESM coverage until 2030. This makes Ubuntu Server 20.04 LTS an ideal candidate for enterprise-class deployments across public clouds, data centres and the edge, from development to production.
